Started building in the '60s. The Ala Kart was my favorite model then and I still have an original kit from the 60's. However, it cost me more than the original $2 price. Always wanted a 57 Chevy so now I have one that took 3 years to restore to driver. Stopped building for college and career in the 70s and started again in the mid-80s. Founding member of the Houston Automotive Modeler's Society (Hams). Quit building again in early to mid 1990s and took it up again in 1999 or 2000. I build mainly 50 - 60 classics, Indy Car (took first place at the Southwest Challenge in early 90s with Fittipaldi 1989 Indy winner), NASCAR, rat rods and othe rsubjects that interest me, like Beach Bunny Catchin' Rays. I am not very good with the computer (FORTRAN was my college course) so bear with me.
