    Forgotten Fords progress pics.

Hello fellas, finally got around to doing a little more work on the Fords. Both truck got real wood beds and the 37' got some more weathering.

Nice work!! I just love the old junkers, and in a diorama it's just awesome. Keep up the excellent work.

    Re: Forgotten Fords progress pics.

Hi hot rod 66......I used a .024 #73 drill bit to make the hole. Then I used a fresh #11 x-acto blade to make straight lines out from the hole. With a new blade very little pressure is needed to make a line in the plastic. I varied the length of the lines a little as I went all the way around.  Then starting near the hole I connected the lines in a circular motion just like a spider web is made. I practiced on an old windshield till I got the right effect. I was pleased with the results, I hope it works as well for you!...........Dan

A little Bondo and some cans of Krylon and they'd look like new!

Seriously, do not take me serious!

Thanks Kodiak Island Modeler................... and hawkr777 your bondo and paint idea is worth some thought...I was thinking about doing another one where it was in the middle of being restored. Where some of the rust is patch weld covered, other rust has the bondo over it and so on. It might make a cool garage scene.

Nice job!!  It't fun to make junk dios, but you need to bang up that bumper, it's way to straight for that dio.

I thought about banging up the bumpers a little but I left the rest of the body undented, so I decided to leave the bumper unscaved!
