Hi

while I was in a household shop last weekend, I picked up a ship in a bottle for 4 euros...the end of the bottle was previously cut so I took the end of it and made up a rally diorama and placed it inside...the scale of the car is 1/43 and its a minichamp Rally Ford Focus....I resealed the bottle with a ring of sealant and placed a doublesided tape around the joint and covered with a piece of felt..no too sure whether I happy with the felt do any of you guys suggest a different finish???

i think it looks good neat idea the boats are a pain to build any way.

It looks great, but try a black and white check around it.

Looks great, try something narrower and thinner to hide the seam more like a pinstripe

looks cool you might try a big tire like you see in the back groud at  a lot of road races

The felts fine,it's the ford that gets me! LOL

If the cops find a bottle in your car they want to bust ya! What would they do if they found your car in a bottle?? Great idea, another great job on the car!

Yeah, the silver strip is a lot less intrusive. although isn't it cheating a bit having the bottle cut open in the first place? (i guess it'd be hard to get the bits small enough to fit throug the neck).

well lads here a few more cars in bottles

 again the focus is 1/43rd scale and the mini is 1/36th scale.....
