Drag Slot Car Bodies... Built any, Have any?... Show them here

Yes... Model car bodies for slot cars... Body weight is not a problem because these cars race in brackets just like the real cars.

If you build one make sure it's built strong because these cars can leave the track on occasion and you don't want it splattering parts all over the spectators.

I built one for a buddy of mine recently and really enjoyed doing so... He's yet to build the frame for it and I'll post photos of the completed car when finished.

    Using this kit...

I built a simple shelf to show off some engine detail...

    Finished build...

I'll add more photos of built others and possibly a sanctioned race in the future considering the intrest from you guys.

Tried oven cleaner?... Never tried to strip a lexan body... I always bought a new one and repainted it... I do think it could take a stronger solvent then styrene... Not much help here huh?

    Anybody else have ideas?

I use these 2 cars to drag race on my 1/32 scale track. I have about 16 feet of straight away and we use a flashlight to tell us when to floor it
