Totally agree about the movie - cant remember how many times i've watched it on VCR (including about a week ago !)

Now if I could only remember who made the kit that looked like the ghost car.

As for build options what about the trail bike etc ?

Very interesting idea. I'll be checking this out. I've never seen a kit of the movie car, some sort of Dodge concept I believe.

Hay Octavia there was never a kit for the ghost car (WRAITH) But the car was called the Dodge M4S Concept Car. I'm going to try and build that car but it's not on his list so I'll build it in a different place. I plan to use an AMT Jaguar XJ220 for the lay out of the body. I'll just have to see if I can make the car look close or not.
As for the full movie I only liked the wraith car all the othere cars are just to stock for me I like the over the top type of cars like those weard vette's I'm working on.

Gee,I wonder who gave you that idea (just kidding) I ended up finding an XJ220 kit a couple weeks ago, so if it's ok with you R34, I'm gonna attempt the Turbo Interceptor as well.

"Hay Hay" that's a good Idea if the two of us build the same kit we can bounce new ways and ideas of doing this project off each othere. I'm using and old AMT Kit you? Oh I do know of a Fujimi kit of the XJ220, it just costs a lot. and *** for the wheel Aoshima and Fujimi makes some good version of them. If you come up with a cheaper wheel let me know. Ka?

White R-34- Hows Your Builds Coming Along.

Good start there your vette is shaping up well. As for my build here's what I got at the Cajun Model Fest 23 to help me out on this build. Some Fujimi Mesh wheels but there 4 lug:


I need 5 lug and I have some wheel from an old trashed Pontia GTP kit but unlike the fujimi wheels I would have to modife two of them for the deep set I need for the rear.

I working on the body right now and once I get some of the putty dryed I will show you all some of my work.

www.monstersinmotion.com has a resin kit of the turbo interceptor but it's way pricey at $144.00!

Anybody else notice the Dodge "turbo" had two different paint jobs?

The Modifications I Did On My Vette Is:
AMT 70 Chevy Corvette Body
AMT 89 Chevy Corvette Rear Panel
AMT Eckler Corvette Front Fender Flares

Glued 89 Corvette Rear Panel Onto Stock Quarter Panels Filled In Seams. Im Using The 70 Corvette Interior, Engine & Frame.

I Did A Few Mods To The Trans Am Its A Revell Kit I Removed The Rear Spoiler Glued T-Tops & Filled In The Seams

Thanks for the link but I'm not going to wast time diging through that site to find that car I thought you would have put up a directed link, but any way why buy it if you can build it, you'll have more fun building it. An for less money, I know not every one has the skills to build the car from scratch and that sucks so you guys will half to fork over the big buck if you realy want that car.
An about the paint job it's not realy two It's a color shift paint, way back then it was called fip-flop style to day color shift or better known as chameleon paint job. You can use eather HOC or Alclad II it's up to you the builder, I'm using Alclad II once I get the body mod's done.

The PPG Pace car had the very 1st use of an actual "chameleon" paint. It was the spice/violet/black. The paintjob cost a cool $1,000,000 back in the day!!!!

The XJ220 will get you close, if it's based on the production Jag. Look close at the Dodge Daytona from AMT, or the Trubo-Z from Monogram. The M4S was designed by the same guy who did them. The M4S is one of my all time favorite design studies.

Another source of panels is the Monogram Olds AeroTech. I've studied building this, I just can't fathom having to buy 4-5 kits for the variuos bits needed. A full detail build would require a twin-turbo 2.2l with a DOHC head.
