    Lindberg new kits

recently I ran into a Lindberg '37 Ford hot rod roadster.  I hadn't known of it.  I looked at Lindberg's web site and saw that there were three new kits (all 37's) a roadster, a coupe, and a sedan.  All of them look like repops of Testors Smoothster and Coupester.  What did I miss?  I went back a ways on this forum.  Saw nothing.  You will have to forgive my ignorance, but living in Montana limits information.  You wouldn't want to know how many kits I've missed since the 1960's  On the other hand, I wouldn't want to live anywhere but Montana.  Please visit don't stay.  So where could I have found out about these kits.  I hesitate to ask because I've built a lot of really bad kits from Lindberg.  Please let me know better sources of information.  I am and have been a subscriber to SA.

I know nothing about it, but I've built some nice Lindberg kits like the 64 Plymouth and 66 Chevelles.  The 61 Chevys build nicely too.

I saw some at my local hobby shop and they were priced rediculous!! This shop is ALWAYS cheaper than any other hobby shop around. He still sells Revell and AMT kits for $13.85-$14.85.I picked one up to look at until I saw the price marked at $28.85!!! I didn't even bother to ask the owner why it was priced so high.

You are correct in thinking these kits are the same as the Testors kits. I'm not sure what agreement the 2 companies have, but they are working together to release some kits. Most of the news is listed here, I know these kits were mentioned somewhere, but finding info is sometimes difficult here. Model Round Up is another good place to find info on up coming kits (and order them). Just add the 3 w's before and the dot com at the end.....and no spaces.  I can't tell you much else about the kits as I've never built them. They do look nice though. I'd love to visit MT I wouldn't stay though, I don't think growing dental floss is legal anymore.................

    Re: Lindberg new kits

I found a 1/12 Lindberg kit of a Fiat Dragster.

The molding seems pretty crisp. There is one unexplainable hole at the left rear where the cylinder head meets the block. I've puttied it up and am waiting for it to dry.

Does anyone know if this is a new tooling or a re-issue?

    Anyone else have this kit??

    Re: Lindberg new kits

Just went through some research on a couple Lindberg kits.

Try the site here -  Lindberg Models

There is an area where you can sign up for a newsletter.  I don't know how reliable that is, I did get an activation response, but don't know what it is beyond that.  Just signed up yesterday.

And yes...Modelroundup is a great resource - click the "future release" or "upcoming release" can't remember what it's called.

And MT is fantastic.  Some of my memorable trips through there include sitting out a blizzard / ice storm in Missoula - free dinner and shower for "stranded" truckers, spending the night a hundred miles or so north of Helena under a cloudless pitch black "Big Sky".  You certainly live in a beautiful state full of wonderful kind and genuine people.

Yes, It's been reissued a couple of times.  Here's the one I built.    The hole in the block has something to do with it being motorized when it was first issued.

The one with the body molded in black with the flame decals is the newest issue.
