    Why not try to ask her if she can teach you how to use her camera responsibly? She might see that you are interested in respecting her stuff, that you value HER opinion and knowledge, and you might share some nice one-on-one time.

    Parents love to share their knowledge IF you ask right... and pretend not to be bored when they (we) get off topic and talk about they was it was when we were young.

    Heck, she might even take the photos for you!

    Well, I dropped the camera about....... 1year ago. The camera is like 2-3 years old. I thought I had the saftey band/hand holder thing, and I let go of it, and it kind-of fell. I broke ONE of little things that holds the batter cap, top, thing one. Still works, preaty good! But it SUCKS batteries like, well you fiuger it out....   

    Knock me down, and I will stand right back up!
