What a great place this forum is, it's good to talk with like minded people! I have a Jo-han 1963 Dodge conv. kit that's yet to be built, also have the 63 Dodge and Plymouth wagons by R&R, but I picked up a 1962 Dodge Dart 4dr. kit by Revell-it's an original kit with metal flake plastic! WOW what a find! in 1:1 my Dad left me a 63 Valiant conv. with 72K. orig. miles, Thank Dad! and Thank you Fury 3 for sharing your art with us!

     Hi Chris

I was a little confused by your topic heading.

Were you looking for info on converting one of these Dodge kits into a '63 Plymouth Fury hardtop ?

    Hey Cycolac Fan,

First I would like to thank you for welcoming me to this modeling forum, as you can see, I am new to computers and all the other high-tech stuff that goes with it! I love model cars-I do'nt love computers so much,

Sorry to confuse you with my chat with Fury3 Re: 63 Fury 2dr.HT - I had to go back and read my posted response again, I think what confused you was that I used the term conv. instead of the whole word- convertible! sorry.... I would never try to convert a Dodge to a Plymouth or vice-versa, The 63 Plymouth and Dodge kits by Jo-han are still around but it will cost you!  I paid more for the plastic kits of early Mopars by Johan,Revell,AMT and SMP than I did for the 1965 Plymouth Valiant I drove to highschool! and I've had more enjoyment from the plastic ones, Sorry if I strayed a little off course of the 63 Plymouth by Fury3, but it's not hard to do if you if you look at fury3's photo-bucket! theres good stuff in that bucket!

    thanks for being here!

    PRAY FOR PEACE,

    your pal,

    Coo-Coo Chris

Chris it's ME that owes YOU an apology. For some weird reason my computer hide the first two pages of this thread and I only got to see this page yesterday - hence my confusion. I thought what I replied to was your opening comment and had no idea there were already two full pages of words and pics...

I feel like a proper fool! and I'm grateful you haven't taken any offence. Think I hate computers as much as you do now

Anyway, that's a truly stunning looking '63 and sorry once again for the bizarre comments above.

The  still stands though of course. Hope to see more of your great work soon

That is one sharp 63!  By chance do you have engine detail to share?

Sorry, I do not. These photos were taken (as mentioned) at the last minute, fighting a failing camera battery by a friend I see infrequently. As mentioned earlier, I hope to have this situation rectified with my computer so that I can use my camera at my own will, and my computer will then allow the downloads from it....a faulty port) The engine that is hiding under the hood is the one provided by Jo-Han in 1963....a rather uninspired looking 383 4-Bbl "Commando V8", painted in the correct Chrysler Turquoise. (I did fabricate a proper air cleaner housing, though!)  I like to build these old Jo-Han kits out of the box, (while still adding wiring, BMF, and MCW paint, and flocking) as I feel they represent a part of history we will never see again..to include some of the ancient tooling's. Thanks for asking! Fury3
