Thanks, SFD, Fury3 and Brewster! I tried the skirts with some white glue and I decided that I still don't like fender skirts! Covers too much of the wheel. I realize that I am probably late in building this kit as it was issued so long ago, but I am going to make a list of the trouble spots so I can correct them on the convertible. I'll post it here in case anyone wants to take advantage of it.

It's on to the next projects which are the 55 - 57 Chevy Nomad kits. If I find the new 70 Challenger R/T anywhere I may build that one too. Happy Modeling, everyone!

I can never decide if I want the skirts on either, so sometimes I just put one on, then I can decide which way to display the model in my case afterwards...

Oooops, a verbal faux pas  (sorry, just kidding, but taken out of context it IS hilarious). Please don't be offended; this happens all the time in election years.

The performance-oriented guys in that era (I got my H.S. diploma in '61) never bothered with fender skirts. The "trollers" had the skirts, aftermarket wheels, yadayada, much like today. I'm not a great fan of fender skirts for post-'57 chebbies. For 53-57's, its a judgement call, based on the model of the car (you typically don't see factory skirts on the cheapest model offered)

All that aside: John (if I may call you that) you've created a great model of that car. Period!

Thanks, Henri, Vetts and Ray!  Ray, thanks for supplying me with this kit as I really enjoyed building it! I'll be building the convertible after I complete my Nomad projects with the 55 - 57s. Thanks for all the comments from everyone!

I must say JR, you have out done yourself!

level of detail on this Impala is outstanding. I like how the color shines and "pops" in the sunlight.
