Posting on here is frustrating me... anyone else?

Now, first off, this isn't a post where I intend to rant on and complain about the forums and blah blah blah, because I know that's pointless.  But, I will have to say that I am getting frustrated trying to post on this site.  When we had the old forums, it took all of a couple seconds for my post to be added to a thread and for it to reload the page, now it takes anywhere from 10+ seconds to do the exact same thing? I mean, this doesn't happen every time but I think the fastest a post has gone through on the new forums was 6-7 seconds... not kidding.  I have DSL so it's a pretty quick connection and it's the same internet I used to go on the old forums.  Has anyone else experienced a real bog-down?  Is this something that can ever be "fixed"or am I going to have to deal with the slow posting as long as we have this format for the forums?

Zach, I have 5 meg cable service and it can post in anywhere from ALMOST immediately, which is rare to almost 20-30 seconds! Mostly, I post in the late PM or early AM and even at those times it can take a at least 6-7 seconds. I've e mailed a few of the boards techs about this and give several of them info about the problems. I posted in your question in Builders Corner a few minutes ago and it was almost immediate. I'll see what this does!

Not bad, 4 seconds before I edited it!

It is my understanding that posts go into a "cache" and are released later. Whether this is based on time or a certain number of posts, I don't know, but that's why it isn't immediate and is variable. Some of our tech people may wish to comment further here (especially if I've misspoken). It is evidently a function of the Forum software package, so it may not be "fixable."
