FW14B Dash Detail.
Posted by Anonymous on Thursday, May 5, 2005 8:21 PM
Hi There Folks!
This is my first post with you in search of information.
I'm really hoping that someone in the group can help me out!
I am looking for some detailed shots of the Williams FW14B dash, and cockpit interior.
I am building this Tamiya kit (#12029) and I have added about $2300.00 CDN in detail parts.
The only thing that is holding me up, is the lack of a decent shot of the dash without the steering wheel! {Or with the steering wheel, if push comes to shove!}
If anybody can help me out on this problem, I would be very grateful.
Thanks a lot, John.

John. I'm not sure how desperate you are, or how much detail you want, but I came across this book doing a google search which might be of interest if you can find a copy anywhere. Bill

Did you misplace your zero, jcdf?
Do you mean $230 in detail parts?
Also, whereabouts in the Great White North are you living?

No, I'm sorry to say, that wasn't a typo or slippery decimal place!
So far, I have located and grabbed up almost every possible nut, bolt, hose, braided line, fitting, detail item, etc. that I could envision using on this project.
And that doesn't count building tools. I don't even want to think about how much I have spent on those, but, on the plus side, I will have them for all my future projects.
Am I anal about detail on this build, and all the others? Well, maybe just a smidgen!
Oh yeah, I have Andy's book, but for some reason he doesn't have any dash photos, blast it!
So the quest goes on.
Any help with dash photos from that era would be really appreciated.
As to my location, it's Edmonton, Alberta.
Thanks for your response, John.

I didn't think it was possibly to blow that much on detail parts for JUST ONE KIT...$2300.00 CDN >_<
