Upholstery Work.
Posted by David Smith on Saturday, April 29, 2017 3:40 PM

Hi there I'm a little new at there forum stuff but I'm looking for some help and hoping that there is someone out there that could just that.

Im currently just finishing a Pocher Rolls Royce Phantom and just purchased another car to start shortly and I'm wanting to improve my upholstery work on the models. In particular the cornering detail

Can anyone suggest any books or online sites that may help with this type of work?

Someone in another thread mentioned automotive wrap, I wonder if it would work in this application? Bill.

Do you have a photo or good description of what you've done before? It might help if we can see or visualize what it is you're doing. I'm pretty sure there are books on automotive upholstering, but remember that full size doesn't allways translate the same way in scale.

My favorite color is clear. I am also ambidexterous, I can screw up equally well with either hand. I am 53 years old and been building for most of that time. :)
