Interior 1948 Ford coupe
Posted by Nord75 on Wednesday, December 16, 2015 3:39 PM

Hello guys.
I build Testor 1948 Ford Coupe. In this kit seats have a view

But on foto real 1948 Fords coupe they are different.

I understand that all car after restoration and seats may not be stock.
Similar seats I saw only on 1948 Ford convertible. This is a mistake in this kit or not? I do not have 1948 Ford broshure. Where I can find interior colors for 1948 Ford?
Sorry, my English no so good.

Thanks for answer. Michael

All I can offer as a possible answer is that the kit manufacturer had a restored car to work with for measurements and that particular car had a different upholstery pattern than a factory stock.  Or the photos you have may be of a different trim level car than the model kit - a deluxe rather than a standard.

I build models because I can't afford the real thing!

I can tell you that the photos show a re upolstery job that is incorrect in both photos. I have been in an antique car club for 23 years and have seen real ones, they look more like the model. Go to "The old car manual project" on the web and under brochures you can find the real interior pictures. Good luck.
