68 Chevelle Gauge question
Posted by Retro Joe on Wednesday, November 26, 2014 9:14 PM
Making decals for my '68 Chevelle model on Photoshop, and can't tell from my reference photos where the "high beam" indicator is (Google gives me non-1968 photos even when doing a specific search). Is it just a blue dot near the top of the speedometer circle? Here's what I have designed so far:

Joe, I just Googled "1968 Chevelle Instrument Cluster" under "Images" and the very first (top left) photo is a great photo of what you're looking for. There is a small "dot" inside the circle directly under "60". It appears to be a red lens, but it's hard to tell. (I enlarged the photo.) Might be worth another look.

Thanks, Chucky! I used a different variation of terms when I searched. As usual, I put way too much detail into my decals, and when they printed out, everything was too small to see. Still looks better than paint.

I know what you mean: I've been researching my two current projects and have had the best results by being specific in my search. It becomes a test of knowledge to weed out the wrong year, make, etc. that invariably show up. As far as the minute detail, YOU know it's there. You build 'em your way to enjoy, as it should be. Getting down to the wire: looking forward to seeing the completed project.
