carpeting.

it's a felt sheet with adhesive on the back.  comes in 12" x 12" pieces.  Michaels and Hobby Lobby carries it.  Hobby Lobby sells it for 49 cents per sheet.  It's in the craft area.  since this post originated in 2004, a lot more colors have been added.  some patterns are available but would be too big for 1/24 or 1/25 scale.  I'm working on two mustang fastbacks, and plan and doing the carpeting (black ) with two tone red/white seats, door panels, trunk, etc.  I think it will look very nice.

Do you have the actual brand name and the name of the product?

Okay, fseva.  went to Hobby Lobby and picked 3 sheets. madeby tree house studio,  "peel & stick craft felt.  It's now 99 Cents a sheet.  Enough to use on 2-3 models, depending on how much you need.

I've tried kthis and it seems a bit thick. I also bought some at Michaels that was thinner and a bit more pliable.

Great stuff papadan.I use double sided adhesive felt sheets all the time. They make great carpet,& seat covers. And are available, like you said,in a ton of cool colors...Ok,.I know this is off topic, but I was just curious to know. Are Hobby Lobby stores pretty much the same as Michaels craft stores?See I live in NY,and we don't have any Hobby Lobby stores in my area.
Thanx....Again,just wondering.

That's sad to hear. PRO MOD, I've got your answer.... yes hobby lobby is very similar to Michael's. I have both stores within 5 miles of my house as well as a hobbytown usa. the one thing I want (sophisticated rust for weathering), I can't find anywhere in this area. I guess i'll have to order it off the net. hope this answers  your question.

I live where we have both stores.  I think Hobby Lobby has a larger selection of craft supplies.

Oh crap!
