FUSION PAINT
Posted by FIREMODELMAN on Sunday, November 23, 2003 6:24 AM
i used that new 'fusion' paint from krylon on my 59 rambler. it went on really well, but you must wait at least 7 days before you try to polish, had to repaint as i only waited 5 days. it does seem to come out with a nice sheen though without using any wax or polishing. after 7 days i was able to use some mequiars cleaner wax on it and it was fine. the hype of this paint is it's supposed to be for plastic, although i dont know if that means or includes styrene? My 2 centsBig Smile

Sounds cool, I've been wanting to try Fusion but haven't gotten to it yet. Did you primer the body first or just base coat it?

hey from_afar, no didnt use any primer, just a few light coats of the paint. i really dont know if this stuff is any better than anything else, but i do know i've tried using regular krylon spray on my models and when it dries its always orange peeled and rough to the touch, so maybe this stuff is different? i will use it again thats for sureCool
