super glue

There was a question about super glue and it's effect on the windows. There is a simple way to prevent this. I always coat all clear parts with 'Treatment Model Wax' or 'Meguiars Professional Wax' #7 or #9. The wax protects the clear parts and prevents them from fogging when being glued. I also use a special clear acrylic ultra-thin body molding tape to hold windows, and other parts, in place. The 'Meguiar's' products and the tape can be found at any good body shop supply store such as NAPA.
As for seeing your fingerprints... remember that super glue is often used by CSI and fingerprint specialists to reveal finger prints at a crime scene or in a lab. They simply heat up the glue and the fumes cause the fingerprints to show up, just as they did on the model.

Geesh , I hate whan that happens. Thanks Howard for the tip.
I'm hopelessly addicted to building models. Not finishing them, just building them.
