testors vs model masters spray paint
Posted by Anonymous on Tuesday, February 3, 2004 10:22 PM
I have recently been using model masters spray paint and it has been working very well. How does it compare to the standard testors. THey are made by the same company, so i am not sure how different they are. my lhs guy told me they were very different, but I am not sure that I trust that either.
THanks

I think Model Master simply has different colors. As far as the quality, I don't think there is no difference.

Yes, I agree with modelcarguy. Colors as far as gloss enamels goes. Now the military colors in the Model Master line are formulated a little different, as Testors has to guarantee the color to match federal standard color numbers.

But in our car field, Model Master vs. regular Testors is colors only as far as I know.Smile

Maybe he ws just trying to upsell you on the MM which is more expensive than the plain old Testors stuff. I seriously doubt Testors would have a seperate facility just to produce MM colors. They all come from the same place.

I was thinking the same thing. I am going to buy some testors paint and see how it looks. It would be very expensive for testors to create a mm factory especially when they are only 75 cent difference in cost. roi not very good
