A few paint questions?
Posted by Anonymous on Monday, February 2, 2004 12:54 PM
Just a couple of quick questions:

1. i want to start using automotive laquers, I here they cover extremely well. If I use them with my airbrush what do i use to clean it? Just paint thinner or what?

2. I have the same question about the future floor polish. What do I clean my airbrush with after appling it?

I dont know the exact answer to your first question, but for #2, you can use whatever you'd normally use to clean your airbrush with after spraying acrylics. After all, Future is just clear acrylic. Cool

Clean up automotive laquers with laquer thinner.Buy it by the gallon where you get your paint. The stuff at the hardware store is not the same grade as the stuff at the auto paint store.Go to beautyshop supply store and buy a plastic color or perm type squeeze bottle with a snap cap on top, to keep about 8 oz at a time in.This makes for extremely easy use and cleaning.Hope this helps.
