Thanks, Modelcarguy. This is an extremely valuable site for me since I'm looking for a better solution to my own painting problems. I've got this one saved on my computer.
I'm hopelessly addicted to building models. Not finishing them, just building them.

Interesting article. Notice he said not to use automotive acrylic clears, but didn't say what kind he does use. Clear laquers?

Thanks, modelcarguy ! Great tutorial as I believe that many more colors are available in 1:1 automotive paints.

in the Automotive what is on your car of today is called arcylic Lacquer Urathane base/clear coat. You can use this on model's.. I use this and Lacquer paints from Horizon Color.. and had no trouble what so ever from the paint. I have very little if any run's and never had orange peal or craking.

ive never used auto paint and i prolly would never try it if i hadnt seen this site Thank you (just hope it aint expensive)
