Masking Windows
Posted by 2qtslow on Wednesday, May 20, 2020 1:05 PM

Are there any simple and effective ways to mask window glass prior to painting the frame or rubber surround.  Small and oddly shaped rear windows are especially daunting, but I am not real impressed with how I've done any window so far!

I don't think there's anything to do other than masking tape cut to shape. Maybe paint it in clear before black to 'seal' the tape and stop any underbleed?

I use Bare Metal Foil to mask the windows. It gives a nice clean edge.

Bare Metal foil works. Tamiya Tape can do the job, or any low tack tape can work.
