I used Purple Power or Super Clean (can't remember which) to strip paint off a '66 Plymouth Fury that I buils in 1966.  I worked quite well with just a little bit of toothbrushing to clean some of the indentations.

I build models because I can't afford the real thing!

Stripping 35 year old paint

Attached you will find a very sad example of my skills from 35 years ago. Not only did the white yellow (or maybe the clear) but it also crazed. And the paint was done by hand.

So now I want to strip, repaint and redecal this old Alfa Romeo 179C driven by Mario Andretti. My wife loves Mario so it would be very cool! I did see this car run at the first
Las Vegas Grand Prix in 1980. It was a dog but it was there!

Any suggestions on the best way to strip this old paint job?
