Novus 1 & 2
Posted by OrangeR/T on Saturday, May 25, 2019 1:05 PM

I've used MicroMesh polish for years with great results but i'm starting to run low on my supply. I see everyone using the Novus polishes, i was thinking about getting a set of the 1 and 2 polishes. But what get's me, it say's "for polishing plastics". Ok yes i know our models are made of plastic, but what about paint? This may be a dumb question, but it sounds like the Novus is made for polishing pre-molded colored body's, not painted bodies? Even their website doesn't say anything about painted surfaces. What am i missing?

I have used both and they are okay to use on painted surfaces.  Novus #2 is great for polishing your paint.  I used it after I use Maguiars Scratch X since the Novus #2 is finer than the Maguiars.  Novus #1 is a wax and you shouldn't need to apply anything else on top since it'll flake off.

Oh ok cool. Yeah i use Race Glaze as my final polish/wax, stuff works wonders. I might just try a bottle of the #2 then and skip the #1. Thanks for the info mrmike!
