Body Cradle

Does anybody use some type of cradle to hold car bodies when painting such things as side marker lights and also putting on decals. Also any tips on applying body lenght water slide decals.

I have a rectangular piece of foam about a foot long with a slot running the length of it. It was meant to hold HO scale raceroad bodies (I think). I can use it to hold or support  car bodies while doing detail painting. Do not remember where I got it.

As for long, thin decals like pin stripes, I cut them into smaller pieces and apply them seperately. That way there is less chance of them folding over onto themselves.

Thanks for replying. Maybe I'll look at the hardware store or some place like Micheal's for something like that.
