Body Fitment
Posted by BrownsFan00 on Monday, February 18, 2019 7:03 PM

Im fairly new to building model kits and i need a little help. It seems every time i build a kit, i need to build the interior and glue it to the floor or the frame. my issue is always the same, how to stretch the body around all of the prebuilt interior parts without breaking things. i dont know if this is a common problem but it sure is with me.

One way to get the body down over the chassis and interior is to use your fingers and "stretch" or spread the sides of the body over the chassis.  Another way would be to use a couple of index cards and let the cards spread the body out.  Some chassis require either the engine end of the chassis going in first or the rear of the chassis going in first.  Either way will require the spreading of the body sides to allow the chassis and interior to go into the body.
