Painting masks glue
Posted by dannylaval on Tuesday, January 01, 2019 1:43 PM

Hi guys

First of all, Happy New Year to all.

Now to the point: I have used a Tamiya mask to cover the white paint in order to shoot red over the Toyota TS020 body. I am using Tamiya spray cans. How do I get rid of the mask glue still sitting on the model ? Polishing compound or thinner ? Or any other mean ? Thank you guys and happy building...

I have never heard of a Tamiya mask, but that doesn't mean it doesn't exist.  My question for you is, what is it?  To me, it sounds like a liquid masking material of some sort.  Does it cover the paint completely?  Does it change the color of the paint?  I have always used Tamiya masking tape and/or old newspaper to cover any area that I want to protect.  What do the instructions on the can say?
