HOK paint

What are you guys using to thin HOK paint? Is the genuine HOK reducer required or are there alternatives? Also, what primers are you using under HOK paint?

Thanks. M.G.

Since HOK is automotive lacquer, (automotive) lacquer thinner should work.

As for primer, again, any lacquer primer should work fine. I've used Tamiya spray primer under other automotive lacquers with no problems. (Haven't used HOK.)

I use Tamiya primers under HOK paint. I have found that Black Gold (HOK), Tamiya, Testors, MCW, and Dupli-Color paints are all compatable with each other.
