Issues with Gravity Colors
Posted by medix218 on Tuesday, June 19, 2018 3:10 PM

Who else has been experiencing issues with orders from Gravity Colors USA?  I ordered paint over a month ago, received an email 1 week after the order was placed by Matt telling me there was a mix up with thier bottle supplier and it would not be shipped until 4 June.  I've reached out to them multiple times since with no response.  Yesterday, I reached out through PayPal and now my order is "On Hold".   It's very frustrating to say the least!

You are not the only one. For more tales of woe, read this http://cs.scaleautomag.com/sca/general_discussion/f/3/t/126982.aspx

Other forums have had similar reports. The general consensus is to forget Gravity USA and order from Gravity Europe. See the last post in the above link for more details. Apparently their customer service is much better, though I have no personal experience.

Thanks!  That looks like the best route, I will request a refund from PayPal and order from the Europe site.

So there is definetly an issue with Gravity Colors USA... I cancelled my order with them and reordered from CG Europe.  Same price and here is a reply I got from some feedback of using thier affiliate here.

Dear Eric,
Gravity Colors USA was our American distributor until September, when we broke our contract of collaboration, among other issues, because his very bad customer service. 90% of the messages received at our Facebook were complaints about customers that didn't received their orders, and we detected that he used to give fake tracking numbers, so for us it is unacceptable that part of our company has such way of doing thins. He violated all the basic rules that we required him to collaborate with us. Now he is running his business using our brand without permission.
Your order will be shipped out tomorrow. We will send you a DHL tracking number. The delivery is expected for three or four working days. Anyway, DHL, the next day that they pick up the order, gives you the expected delivery date.
Thanks for your trust in us.
Regards,

The European office is great to work with.  Took less than 7 days to order and receive my paints.

I thought I was the only one getting screwed by this guy. I filed 2 claims with Paypal. The order he did NOT create a tracking number for was just resolved and I was awarded a full refund. The order he DID created a tracking number for is now under review from Paypal. The best thing to do, so you're not wasting time trying to get your money back, is to open a dispute then right away escalade it to a claim. The seller hasn't responded to any Paypal requests for comment in either of my claims so I doubt he will in any other. Which will work in your favor and should end the claim sooner and get you a full refund. Just my two cents worth of advice.

I just tried scale finishes for the first time. They only took about a week and a half, but I'm not sure their "Basin Street Blue" is entirely accurate. I'm willing to give Gravity UK a shot.

I'm holding final judgement on the blue until I get some on a SPOOOOOOOOOON!

(I'm hoping some of you get that).

I just ordered from Gravity Europe on Wednesday July 18th. My order is scheduled to arrive via DHL on Saturday July 21st. Also, I was messaging with customer service and I ask if they carry all the colors Gravity USA shows on their site. The customer service guy told me the USA guy was making up colors and most of what he shows on his site does not exist. Just wanted to pass along some gossip I was told.

Actually, if Gravity Colors USA releases new colors and does not send the orders, it is as if these colors did not exist. Does he receive custom color requests but not the emails of customers who want to know the status of their orders?

I opened a Paypal dispute and ordered today at www.gravity-colors.com. At least they replied back my email.

Jaime

I placed an order with Gravity Colors Spain this past Sunday and DHL says it will be at my house by end of the day tomorrow (Thursday).

Well this should be an interesting race. With that kind of speed, what on earth did you guys pay for shipping?!

I received my order yesterday, in four days. I paid 10€ for my shipping up to 500gr. Anyway, 195X, if it was a race, the order placed at the American site would be DNF.

I, too, received my order in 4 days. However, I got a little carried away with the "add to cart" button and paid 16eu for up to 1000gr for shipping.

Excellent communication with/from Gravity Spain. Order with confidence.

Actually, shipping costs are a bit more expensive, but products are cheaper, so finally the price is the same, with an excellent service. I never received an order from the American site in less than two weeks. Definitelly, I will place my next orders at www.gravity-colors.com.

It most likely won't ship until Monday, so I bet you get it on Thursday.

By the way, paint was shipped "signature required". I very well could have missed the option to not require a signatire but I usually catch that sort of thing. Jaime might respond with his experience.

You can get on DHL's website once you get your shipping notice and print a form with your Waybill #, instructions where to leave package ( front door, side door, etc...), sign the form and tape it to your door.

If it gets here in under a week I'll be amazed, if it gets here under two I'll be impressed. You guys got yours fast so I'm guessing about the same day. Thurs.

Has anyone read the frequently asked questions of the former American distributor?Tell stories that if he designed the logo, etc., when the most frequent question should be "where is my order?".
