BEST SOLID (NOT METALIC) PAINTS FOR AIRBRUSHING

I searched this topic and was astonished to find nothing of direct relevance.  I'm sure it's out there but the search engine is not the most robust.

Nonetheless, I'm getting back at building and it's been a long time.  I used to go to autobodies and get urethane.  That's harder to do in small quantities and I don't want metalics.

I'm interested in solid colors that thin well with lacquer thinner and can handle being buffed out with McGuier's Fine Cut Cleaner or the like.  I'm most interested in solid colors that were subject and time relevant from the 50's to 70's.

Is there a brand out there or do I need to find a BFF at another autobody?

I'm having good luck decanting Tamiya and Duplicolor lacquers.  Where are you located?  Over in Europe and the surrounding areas people seem to love Zero Paints if you can't find Tamiya or Duplicolor.
