Mustang Royal Maroon paint
Posted by smhardesty on Tuesday, June 20, 2017 12:48 PM

Does anybody know of a lacquer paint in a rattle can that is really close to the “Royal Maroon” that was available on the ‘70 Mustang? I’ve got a couple ‘70 mustang kits and I’d like to do one in that color. I’d prefer it was either Tamiya or Testors.

Thanks.

MCW has this colour available in a spray can  http://www.mcwautomotivefinishes.com/paint/aeronumlist.html

Thanks, Trevor. That will be an option. I just hate paying $26 for a 4 1/2 once can. That's why I prefer either Tamiya or Testors. I can get those brands at several places online where the shipping is less and if I want I can add a kit or two, or any type of supplies I might be needing.

I do have at least one other color I need in a lacquer rattle can. Maybe I can come up with one or two more to spread the shipping cost out a little. I'll wait and see if anybody points me to any Tamiya or Testors before I make my decision. I know I'm going to need Rally Green to do the tribute build of my wife's 1:1 '69 Camaro. MCW has Rally Green listed.
