Scale finishes paint Has anybody tried it?

 I want to  get some paint  for a57 Belair  kit I am working on and I am looking at scale finishes paint has anybody tried it?  If so what are your results?

I used Scale Finishaes paint for a number of years. You can get most colors in Base Coast/Clear Coat which I prefer or Gloss Enamel. Both are fast drying paints.

is the base coat / clear coat also an enamel? I am biased to tamiya acrilic shot thru my Air brush.

The base coats are not enamals. These are automtive grade paints. The base coat sprays flat which is why you neeed a clear coat.

What type of primer/ clear do you use.

I use Plastic-Coat T235 gray primer. But any lacquer based primer would work. I haven't tried Tamiya yet but it could work also.

I use 2 or 3 part Urethane Clear. You must wear a charcol mask with this. But his paints work well with Tamiya or Testors On Coat Lacquer clears too.

 I'm thinking of just using  The primer and clear that he sells Will I have to wear a mask with that stuff?

I haven't used any of his new clear so I don't know. You can ask him through his e-mail to be sure.
