Acrylic paints, Novus polish, and clears work together?
Posted by BMW11190 on Tuesday, May 16, 2017 3:47 PM

I am a nub to the hobby. Started watching videos on YouTube and bought a lot of stuff. My question is about painting, polishing and clear coating..

What I have:

Testors Aztek acrylic paint (pearls)

Createx airbrush colors (pearls, opaque)

windex/alcohol/glycerin thinner

createx performance reducer

Testors Aztek matte clear coat

novus 1/2/3 polish

My question: Can Createx and Testit's Acrylic paint work with Novus polish? I am wanting to use acrylic paint (created performace reducer) then clear coat, then novus polish. Will this work? What step in the process do I put my water slide decals on (Before clear coat or after? What type of clear coat should I use with my acrylic paint? I am a visual person so any steps or information that is very detailed will be appreciated. I am only using acrylic paint at this time because I have been airbrushing for only 1 week. i will be working with  resin, styrene and plastic products for builds.

Thank you for your time.
