How 'bout the one from AMT's '55 Nomad kit, or Revell's '41 Willys kit, or AMT's Street Freaks like the Comet or Rat Packer kits?..................................

Cool looking collection of 1/4 milers, Nick.

All of the old Revell 50s Chevys and old gassers (the old finicky kits with opening doors), have straight axels, though the examples High Octane showed above are likely better choices.

I just use round tubing and cut off the spindles from the kit axles. Most kit axles are drop axles and not straight tubes like real gassers. You can also check out Speed City Resins web page under the model news tab. They have directions on how to build a tube axle with wheels that are posable.

A tube with the kit spindles is exactly what I did on my Ford 100E & it worked great ! The front wheels are not posable.
