Modern Hemi Engine
Posted by tachyonbb on Monday, November 26, 2018 10:53 AM

Does any model kit in 1/25th come with a modern Hemi engine?  The challenger is a curbside and does not have an engine. I bought the Charger Super Bee only to find that it does not have a separate engine.

The AMT Chrysler 300's (not the 1957) and the Revell Dodge Magnum SRT both come with a modern Hemi.  The Revell kit is really nice.

I build models because I can't afford the real thing!

The Revell Challenger SRT8 comes with a nice Hemi and the Testors/Lindberg Charger R/T/Super Bee SRT8 comes with a separate Hemi.  Clearly Scale offers several nice Hemis in resin.

Thanks for the info.  The Clearly Scale engines look great. Now I just have to decide whether I want to go old school or new school on my next build.

These are also an option. Look nice in the photos, but I have not seen them upclose.

A very useful thread this one . I'm toying with doing a ' New Demon 800hp s/c genIII hemi ' in a 71 Dodge DEMON . No more of this silly "push this button , hold this lever , turn this dial " 1 1/2 hour set up for a 9 second run LOL

That is a great idea. I can't wait to see that. Should be very cool.

Just keep picking away at it...
