1983 T-bird nascar stocker wheel issues
Posted by Road Warrior78 on Tuesday, November 20, 2018 8:22 PM

I'm building a 1983 Ford Thunderbird NASCAR stocker. Monogram issue. The front and rear suspensions went together fine. When I test-fitted the wheels I noticed that the left rear and right front caused the car to sit higher in relation to the other wheels. Has anyone else had this "tilting" issue and what would be the easiest way to solve it without messing up the overall look?

Some pictures would help visualize the problem.  However, from what I understand you have somewhat of a "rocking horse effect", if left rear and right front are higher that should make the car rock back and forth.  Right off the top of my head I would suggest either a warped chassis or misaligned attachment points at those two wheels.  Maybe someone else can offer suggestions.

I can't post pics at the moment. My camera is on the fritz. Your misalignment suggestion might be it because when I first test-fitted the wheels they didn't seat properly and looked like they were cambered extremely. I did a small mod and it took care of the camber problem but I'm left with a  rocking horse. I'm going to put the thing on blocks and measure the spindles. Any other suggestions are welcome.
