New front wheel location, Funny car
Posted by smitherreen on Wednesday, December 07, 2016 12:13 PM

I am trying something that I have not tried before. I am taking a current funny car frame (firebird) that I have and wanting to put a totally new body (Plymouth) on it from another kit. After laying the car body on top the frame it appears I have to cut the frame back some 3/8"and re-attach it togather again for everything to line up. What is the best way to do this to have a strong frame after cut & re-attachment? Thanks Tom

My best suggestion would be to carefully drill into the end of each frame rail and superglue a piece of stiff wire (brass rod, paper clip, something like that) into them.  This should be strong enough.

I build models because I can't afford the real thing!
