Race Master Tires
Posted by Dewey2 on Thursday, September 10, 2015 8:42 AM

Hello All, I need some help. How do I get AMT Race Master Tires to stay on the rim? I tried filling them with paper and pipe cleaners, but with no real good results. There must be a way.

Dewey, if you are referring to the hollow-type tires, keeping the "beads" on the rims can be a headache. I have used rubber washers as spacers (the kind that are sold for garden hoses: cheap) as well as modeling clay. You may have to experiment a little with whatever you have on hand. For example, for some large truck tires, I used several turns of parachute cord inside the tire.

Thanks Chuck! Yes it's the hollow tires. I'll give the washers and putty a try. Thanks again. Dewey
