Good luck on that one Mini Man! Unless you want to pay upwards of $200 on feebay. Hopefully with the recent reissue of the Tyrone Malone trucks they'll consider this kit soon.

My favorite color is clear. I am also ambidexterous, I can screw up equally well with either hand. I am 53 years old and been building for most of that time. :)

Gettin a little suspicious of you! First off, you sign up today, leave three wierd posts that have little or nothing to do with the thread you left them in, then send me a friend request, when you haven't even introduced yourself or interacted with me. The bulk of the message was "Hi". WHY are you talking about "under clear color" when nobody here mentioned it? What's your game?

Me too. I just noticed up top, you were asking about the Mack in Mad Max? Are they the same truck? I've never been a truck guy.

EDIT: If your Rubber Duck is open, maybe you could find a caster to make copies?

I think that there is a full resin kit of the Rubber Duck Mack by a US company.

No the ERTL Convoy Rubber Duck Mack kit is a DM600 wich is a more heavy duty chassis with an offset cab used in construction work, the Mack truck in the Mad Max II movie is a R600 so the AMT R600 kit is a better starting point.

The Rubber Duck trucks in the Convoy movie was RS700L Western trucks and the only R700 in modelform is the AITM resin conversions and AITM also do a complete Convoy Rubber Duck truck as a kit, no manufacturer has done a Western R700 in styrene.

My Dad would have liked you. We saw every trucker movie and he could rattle off the specs just like that. Thanks for causing a couple fond memories to come up. :)

Well I have picked up a thing or two during my research on the subjects.
I surely don't know everything but I like to get knowledge where I can and in subjects I'm interested in...it's never too late to learn things, even at the age of 54 I still adjucate myself every day. Wink

Yes, that's why I bought them. Those are Stuntman Dave's cars from "Death Proof". I only saw it once. Like the slasher films of the 70's I found it unnecessarily gory. Typical Tarantino though.

The Rubber Duck trucks in the Convoy movie was RS700L

I know I'm "late to the party", but I believe there's one of these on our back lot at work.

If you want, I can take a few picture's of it.

Let me know, it will be monday before I can get them. ( I'm not going to work on a weekend ..... even for modeling research . )

Dont worry about the thumb print.... paint it rust and call it battle damage.

Soon to be on the bench...

Thanks LittleTimmy! Personally can't stand Fonda, but this was one of the trucker films from my youth my mind just can't shake.

It ran when they parked it.  L O L

It's been sitting since 2004. The engine ran when it was parked. But it's the only Mack on the property, so it hasn't been "cannabalized" for part's  ( other than tire's and some hose's / brakeline's ) It's being left to ... "Rust In Peace".

I suspect that it has sat for so long , that the engine is probably "Seized".
