Thanks Bainford. Yes I found it on a Google search yesterday of pit garages and printed it off. I also found a thin sheet of polystyrene and made up the dio shape and hey presto.

You've got a good printer Pat.. that looks real.. very creative!

I really appreciate the fact that you can put out so many every month as I love seeing nice, completed builds like yours.  How many completed builds do you have and where do you keep them?

Thanks again jchrisf. About ten years ago before I got into internet forums I had to clear out the loft as the government were offering free new loft insulation, twice as deep as we had at the time. I had about a hundred models made and in their boxes, and took them to our municipal waste centre, one chap working there took them off me and passed them onto his grandson.

I now have five Ikea Billy Bookcases with glass doors on, one in the house and four in my log cabin in the garden where I do all my 'work'. This is one and another is now alongside it....

This is a small one I moved and it's contents..........

Including a Lego VW Camper my wife bought me a few years ago!

In the taller cabinets I can get 15 shelves with four on each shelf X four for the full ones, so 60 X four plus a new one with just eight in! Equals 248, just a fraction of my builds over the last nearly 60 years!

This is the cabin under construction 7 years ago............

That was a kit as well!

That's a nice setup Pat... I would love to have a place like that to build and display my models.  Where do you paint?

I paint in the cabin with a homemade booth. Seeing the prices of paint booths and how small they are at about £125, I made my own for around £45. Using a large box used for carrying computer screens etc, and a kitchen extractor fan which was £45.......

And I'm a rattle can man, I don't like the mixing and cleaning fuss of airbrushes. I bought one about 20+ years ago and it's still in the box somewhere, it was far too complicated for me. I warm the cans in a hot water/ice cream tub, to atomise the paint and shake it the recommended time and they work fine for me. Sometimes the paint is so highly glossed that clearcoat gloss is unneccesary.

Love those Billy bookcases. Have several of them. Your GT40 looks great, too.
Oops. Oh, well it'll buff out...maybe...
