Alfa Romeo 'Alfetta' 1950
Posted by PatrickW on Wednesday, March 14, 2018 10:06 AM

There are a number of kits that depict the 1950's Alfa's and this is the SMER version of the 'Alfetta'.

Outside the period build garage...............

Although the kit has been on my shelves for a few years and the decals have 'yellowed' I still used them for a period effect.

Nice work!

I built this one from an older Smer issue. My decals had also yellowed, but I put them into a plastic sandwich bag, and taped it to a window for a couple of days of sun exposure. They came out white!

I ran into a big problem on mine when I realized there was no clear detail of the front grill and no grill part to install. I painted the whole front grill the same red as the rest of the car. I don't know how to get the grill in silver like yours. Your's is great.

Thanks guys. I used a Molotow pen to draw the suround round the grille section, after researching on Google, as you say the instructions don't show a visible difference between the two.
