'Crossing'
Posted by tiking on Thursday, June 22, 2017 1:48 PM

I'm not really a car guy but I had these kits on hand because I had planned to use them in a truck diorama. But, something else came up and I just decided to make a separate diorama for them instead. The diorama depicts a pedestrian crossing with two automobiles and a couple of people crossing or waiting to cross the street. The story tells a tale of a very impatient driver in the van trying to tell the driver in front of him;who is checking out the lady with the dog, crossing the road, to drive on; and if you look closely in one of the pictures, you will see a sign warning pedestrian to update Facebook, before crossing the street. The diorama is pretty simple. I just wanted to have a display base, that' pretty much it. Hope you guys like the results:

The sign actually says to update Facebook AFTER you cross the street. I know, you just wanted to see if anyone is paying attention. Very clever! We need a little more humor around here sometimes. Big Smile

That is a very funny and super well done! The detail in the road, the storm runoff grate, the paper bag and graffiti on the sidewalk is sooooo good.

Feelings are like scents: The more they are analyzed, the worse they smell.

Another great job.  I appreciate all the work that went into this.  The dust that has gathered at the side of the road by the scooter is super real.  Very well thought out and executed.  The grate on the ground is another realistic addition to the scene.  Well done.  YesYes

Just keep picking away at it...

Well done and an interesting layout. I never would have thought of having an overpass.

Thank you again. My first thought was just to have the underpass without the overpass but I thought it would just make the whole scene boring. So I had to come up with a dimension to include an overpass to blend in with the dimension of the base, being it is not that wide.
