Small hamburger joint- first diorama
Posted by Jsteeny34 on Saturday, January 5, 2013 12:56 AM
I'm thinking about making a diorama that is a small hamburger place known as Powers from downtown Fort Wayne. It's famous throughout the city and would be perfect to place some of my 60s-70s cars around!

So.................... besides thinking about making it, what are your ideas? What do you think you will make it from??

J, I''ve lived in fort Wayne a good part of my fairly long life and remember that Powers hamburger joint well since I lived only a few blocks from it for several of those years. Nothing like waking up  and going to bed with the smell of those over-fried onions permeating everything for 100 blocks around. Actually if the wind was right you could smell them on the other side of town. As I recall there were two of the places. Are you talking about the one around the old train station or the one out by ITT? Hope you do start this one. It'll bring back many memories. Actually, thanks for giving me that already.   Oldscalemodeler
