23 Window VW bus Vignette
Posted by tiking on Monday, June 11, 2012 11:29 AM

Been working on this for the last 3 days now and this is what I put together. Hope you all approve. If you look closely you'll see some bird eggs inside the right side headlight. The wheel lugs or bolts are on the ground next to the tireless axle. I am in the process of adding a couple more details then it will be 100% complete.

The bus is outstanding, the base works really well and the trees are fantastic!                                         Everything in this scene goes together perfectly.                                                                                               This is a beautiful piece you can be very proud of.  GREAT job.

Some people just have an incredible imagination and can top it off with ability to match........  You are definitely one of them!

Great job - very cool. You should do a follow up now where someone has hacked off the roof and rear window section for another "project", ha, ha...

Decided to take it one more step. So I cut of the area that represented the closed sky view canvas and replace it with 3 braces and worn out canvas. Hope you like it.

Some more updates. Sorry for the photos. The storage compartment door is closed halfway and the back right lights (broken) are in place. Also toned down the rust on the on the right side a little.

Thanks a lot. I used a mixture of brown paint and pigments to get the variations of rust. Not that hard at all.
