Tired of looking at misplaced question
Posted by Big Gary on Thursday, January 4, 2018 4:15 PM

This question from carterturner has been here a long time, so much so that I'm tired of looking at it.  I guess there aren't many motorcycles modelers on this forum.

My son used to build motorcycles, then he abandoned model building, and now does trains.

I've never built a motorcycle model but the idea comes around sometimes when I see a 1/25 motorcycle kit, usually incuded with something else.

Maybe the moderator can delete this message from carterturner

i've never really been into bikes, but i've currently got a diecast 1/25 kwaka toy that i'm going to convert into Goose's bike from Mad Max. at 1/25 scale, motorbikes are kind of tiny, which is probably why 1/12 is more popular for this subject.

Cartuners thread is spam, which the previous SA staff couldn't be bothered with doing their duty to remove it.

I have several bikes to build, I just have not been able to work on them lately as life has been hectic.  As soon as I can find the time, I will post them up here!

On the subject of motorcycles, I ran across a list of the top 20 speeding tickets in Texas in 2015.  Interestingly, 15 of them, including the top ten fastest, went to motorcycles.  I guess its fun to live dangerously.  Sad part is, if you have an accident at, say, 146 mph, the rider has no long recovery, just a funeral.  Relatives have the long recovery.
