Wheel color for Tamiya Ducati 916
Posted by Zeke on Monday, January 13, 2014 7:19 PM

I'm starting the Tamiya Ducati 916 kit and not too godd on using an airbrush yet. The instructions call for the wheels to be painted 5 parts Gold Leaf (X-12) and one part Chrome Silver(X-11). When I mix this up it doesn't look quite as good as it should, and this isn't my favorite paint to airbrush. Does anyone have a better solution as to what paint to use for the wheels? Something that I can easily mix up and spray on?

Maybe  spray the entire wheel  1st,,with whatever color,,then  hand detail paint the rest of it?  That works for me sometimes.

Try Tamiya Titanium Gold. It worked for me.
