I've always considered myself an average modeller and mostly stick to the out of the box category, would love to go right into details like Alex does but dont have the time, patience and more to the point, the skills. The Suzuki GSX1100S Katana scored a 2nd place at our states yearly Model Expo way back in 2002 and the Kenny Roberts YZR500 Yamaha received a commended the year after (equally stoked with both results). The Ducati 900 Mike Hailwood replica received good marks too but was entered into the wrong category as it had some bare metal foil on it (my mistake). I'm trying to get some more projects finished at the moment, some of which have been in storage for way too long, spare time is the killer.

Super well done. I'm not a big bike builder, but these are really well done. Nice job.

Very nice builds, have built several 1:12 bikes myself. The Katana is the one missing in my collection!

Thanks guys for your positive feedback, much appreciated. And to Marc, i would recommend the Tamiya Katana kit, it's a very nice kit to build and quite satisfying. I have the 1/6th version of this bike as well but it's a much more complicated and intricate build and have been putting it off. Having said that i've also got the Tamiya FLH Classic Harley with sidecar, would love to do that one but to be honest i'm too scared of stuffing it up cause it's a truly beautiful kit.

I have only ever built one 1/12 bike...... and man it was very rewarding I have since collected a lot more bike kits since that build, all of them are race bikes though
