Nice job. That scale is way too small for me, but these pictures do it well justice.

I didn't know that kit existed great job on it you cant tell the scale until the pics with the sprue parts attached!! how well detailed is the truck could you post some pics of those parts or is it already built?

On the bench, under dust.........1/8 scale model T hot rod (fabrication), 1/16 scale shelby cobra 427 (final paint/detail work[body paint soon]assembly), 1/25 scale 1955 corvette ZR-1 (fabrication).

If it's any help and you dont mind me butting in, i made that kit back in the 50's, of course it got lost/trashed but about two year back one came up on ebay here in the UK, i had to buy it although it's still sitting in it's box unstarted, mine was perhaps a reissue but the box art was original (different to this guys/gals? box art, as i remember the original was made in ice blue plastic, and the truck was pretty well detailed, you got the figures, some tools for the truck, shovels, pic axe etc, if you want i'll dig it out and post some pics,

if i remember right i think the truck even had opening doors but without getting the box out i may be wrong, they come up on ebay every so often, i also got the gas tanker from the same era, and when some of the other old cars trucks pop up i want to grab them as well, the scales a bit small for me now but i'll give em my best shotBig Smile

If it's not to much trouble that would be awsome see I've mainly built 1/24-1/25 scale but recently I've spoiled myself with big scale kits (1/8-1/12-1/16) so I'm looking for the challenge of a smaller scale but i would also like to maintain a certain level of detail I've been ripping apart my sons hotwheels and detail painting them but there's only so far you can go there maybe you could pm me a few shots of the kit if you get the chance

On the bench, under dust.........1/8 scale model T hot rod (fabrication), 1/16 scale shelby cobra 427 (final paint/detail work[body paint soon]assembly), 1/25 scale 1955 corvette ZR-1 (fabrication).

OK, some pics of the kit i have, i hope this is ok with the author of the thread, anyway i was wrong about the opening doors, the cab is unusual as it comes in three parts (four if ya include the hood) not impossible to open up the doors but pretty fiddley,    as you see the box art is different to the one above,  pretty sure this is the original and the other is a re-issue (same as the gas truck below,

the parts!, pretty well detailed for the size, seperat chassis and an engine down to where the sump would be, but NO GLASS!,  decieving as the box pic truck has glass, still guess it's possible to make your own,

the White gas truck and a couple of old glue bombs i picked up, ass the same scale i think but it dosen't say so on the boxesBig Smile

That's exactly what i was looking for they look better detailed than i had hoped and i think i found my next kits to search for (digging that gas truck and continental too)

On the bench, under dust.........1/8 scale model T hot rod (fabrication), 1/16 scale shelby cobra 427 (final paint/detail work[body paint soon]assembly), 1/25 scale 1955 corvette ZR-1 (fabrication).
