Revell 1/8 Triumph Show Bike
Posted by mcmainstribe on Sunday, February 12, 2017 7:44 PM

I picked this up on eBay last summer as a partially built kit.  I brush painted it ans just tried to do a clean job with what I had.  Headlight is from a Revell Harley Bad Boy snap kit, and the taillight is a cowl light from the Big Duece with a parts box lense.

VERY nice! All the chrome is very realistic.

My favorite color is clear. I am also ambidexterous, I can screw up equally well with either hand.

On the bench... somewhere. Pink Panther show car, 1978 Dodge Magnum Charger Daytona Midnight edition SE 300. Mongrel T.

Thanks for the comments!

The kit chrome was in reasonable shape, with only a little yellowing. I added tips to the end of the exhaust pipes as they were supposed to have big fishtail pipes that I just didn't care for.

Thanks mini man.

I also have the stock Tiger kit, but it's missing a few parts for the forks and two of the inspection caps for the top of the engine.  I may just build it as a bobber.

Thanks for the comments!

I saw all these 1/8 scale kits in my dad's collection when I was a kid back in the 70s.  I just had the chance to pick up the two Triumphs and a few different Harleys last summer. Some I paid too much for, but others I lucked into reasonably so it all averages out I guess.
