Ford Escort Cosworth

The follow on car from the Sierra Cosworth - having beaten the world on the road curcuits it was time to move on the the WRC scene. To do this Ford had to produce a number of road cars for homologation.
A limited number of the late Escort Cosworths were produced without the cars trademark bi-plane rear spoiler (point of interest these cars were faster than their
bi-plane spoilered brothers)
The model is based on the Tamiya rallycar kit - it has a morelli twin headlight conversion and OZ wheels.

The model is painted Ford Mallard Green which looks Blue and changes to purple.

The model comes engineless

Hope ya liked it, thanks for looking

Very cool, nice work! If you get a chance, it would be great to see a photo of it parked next to your Sierra.

Neat and unusual subject matter. Since this kit was originally a curbside racecar, what did you use for the engine and interior?
So much plastic, so little time...

It'd be like an Essex supermarket on a saturday night....

seriously, nice model- looks spot on for how these cars look today. Are there ANY stock 1:1s left??

just a wee tip- if you paint the edges of the sunroof glass black it'll look less like thick plastic. Not quite prototypical, but i think it looks ok.

cool model!
