1964 Buick Wildcat

I bought this built up about 13 years ago, with a job lot of other rare built ups (65 Chrysler 300, 63 Nova convertible, 64 Pontiac Bonneville, 66 Lincoln......yes, that was a costly job lot purchase.).
After all this time, the Buick and Lincoln are the only ones I've rebuilt so far.

It was hand painted red, with a black interior, faded chrome and missing tail lights. I stripped the paint about 7 years ago, painted it white, but left it and stripped the paint again.
I bought new Modelhaus chrome and some buick wheels , but weirdly I got some different style wheels. Also which was a bit stranger, the Modelhaus rear bumper was slighlty more narrower than the original. When I went to fit it, it had a fairly noticable gap around the edges . So I had to fill that in with strip plastic.

Anyhooo, I wanted to keep these wheels and not use the Modelhaus ones, so just molotowed those faded wheels.

And here she is, in all her bright red glory.

Great restoration ! You did a wonderful job.

I had never seen a '64 Wildcat convertible model, must be very very rare...
